Researchers at Rutgers University tracked students’ sleep patterns then analyzed their brain’s fear response They found those who’d had less REM sleep (the deep segment of sleep) were more fearful and reactive to shocking images The researchers say their findings show sleep could be a way to screen people for PTSD risk Better sleep primes your brain to be less fearful, new research shows.
