InstaSleep Mint Melts honors Military Spouses around the country
Marrying a service member can be a challenging adjustment for military spouses. This time last September during New York Fashion Week, InstaSleep Mint Melts hosted Military Spouses for an unforgettable NYFW experience.
The spouses, featuring an eclectic mix of entrepreneurs, an author/writer, a nurse, a creative director and a community advocate, kicked off their experience by receiving a glam hair and makeup transformation. Then they sat front row at two runway shows followed by backstage access and a catered lunch by Chef Tova Sterling and VIP Gifts.
The group also had the opportunity to relax in our InstaSleep media lounge to participate in upcoming InstaSleep Mint Melts commercials. For those unfamiliar with us, InstaSleep Mint Melts, is a fast-acting drug-free sleep aid in the form of a quick melt mint. This product is formulated by physicians to assist in falling asleep and waking up without morning grogginess.
The event was a great opportunity to bridge the gap between the military and civilian words, as eloquently said by Navy wife and entrepreneur Flossie Hall.
Spouse Marla Bautista also comments, “I am beyond grateful to have experienced New York Fashion Week! It was everything I’ve ever dreamed of! Thank you InstaSleep for the amazing opportunity! #startdreaming.”
The complimentary pampering was an added highlight.
“Attending NYFW with my fellow military spouses was an exhilarating experience. The cosmetic and hair experts were attentive and accommodating. We had an amazing time engaging with celebrities, models and journalists.” explained Kim Webb.
This experience allowed new role models to share the spotlight- a community that ought to be recognized and celebrated for their perseverance, sacrifices and compromises.
“What a blast! Attending NYFW was an experience to remember. Thank you Instasleep and Nolcha Shows for a once in a lifetime opportunity. Experiencing fashion week close-up as VIPs is every girl’s dream. We appreciate InstaSleep’s continued support of military causes and our families,” commented Moni Jefferson.
Brian Alvarado responded:
“Thank you InstaSleep for one of the most incredible experiences of my life. To go from being a military family advocate to wearing white pants in the front row of a NYFW runway was a moment I will never forget.”
Military spouses are the backbone of our country. Their quiet sacrifices should not go unacknowledged – having to uproot their lives to support their military members and deal with the constant stress of deployments and temporary duty assignments is stressful. These circumstances often mean moving every 2-3 years and leaving family, friends, and sometimes careers or community behind.
We wanted to do something special to honor them. It was a privilege to give these respected individuals a day-off and serve as our VIPs during New York Fashion Week. – The InstaSleep Mint Melts Team.
